Tomato Mozzarella Tidbits

Use fresh cherry tomatoes in this delicious recipe for Tomato Mozzarella Tidbits – a perfect pick-up appetizer dish for both elegant and informal occasions.

What you need

8 ounces marinated mozzarella cheese
24-30 cherry tomatoes
24-30 fresh basil leaves
toothpicks

What to do

1. Rinse cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves. Allow to dry.
2. Open marinated mozzarella on a plate or dish. Drain marinade on plate. Set cheese aside.
3. Dredge basil leaves in excess marinade.
4. With a sharp knife, cut mozzarella into ½” cubes.
5. On a toothpick, thread one cheese cube, one basil leaf, and one cherry tomato to make an appetizer. Repeat until all appetizers are assembled.
6. Set appetizers on a dish. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until serving.

Can be prepared ahead
Yield: 24-30 appetizers
