Fresh Tomato Recipes:
8 Layer Dip

This 8 Layer Dip is delicious with tortilla chips as an appetizer or snack.

What you need

1 16-ounce can refried beans
8 ounces sour cream
12 ounces guacamole or avocado dip
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 large fresh tomatoes, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese
1 4-ounce can sliced black olives

What to do

  1. Spread refried beans in bottom of an 11 x 7 dish.
  2. Layer sour cream and guacamole over beans.
  3. Sprinkle in order: shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and green pepper.
  4. Cover vegetables with shredded cheese.
  5. Sprinkle black olives over cheese.
  6. Refrigerate. Serve with tortilla chips.
