Drip Water Your Tomatoes with a Gallon Milk Jug

by Becky
(Michigan)

Poke a small hole in the bottom of a gallon jug. Fill with water and place next to your tomato plant.

Thanks, Becky!

This is a great tip for watering several plants at the same time. Your tomatoes will get a nice, slow drip. Plus, you'll know for certain that each plant got a gallon of water.

Use a ball point pen or a sharp pencil to punch a hole about 3/4" from the bottom of the jug.

You can also tie the jug to the tomato stake to make sure plants are watered at the roots.
